BBC News seeks Business Correspondent/Reporter in Mumbai

Position: Business Correspondent and Business Reporter

Location: Mumbai

Job Profile: These are wide ranging on air roles and involve working across TV, radio and online.

While the prime responsibility is working for a weekly programme, India Business Report, both roles will involve regular filing for daily outlets both in business and in news.  India Business Report – IBR is a half an hour of business news program every weekend, providing an indispensable guide to the big stories to watch out for in the week ahead.

Candidate profile: The Mumbai correspondents are often the first people to be responding live to breaking general news events in Mumbai.

We would also expect one of the people at least to be able to broadcast in English and Hindi.

We are looking for people with  proven on air news broadcast experience, strong screen presence, a good business knowledge, very  good news sense and willing to work in tough news environment in a very flexible team.
