MoM: Andhra Pradesh Chapter Meeting | 14 July, 2013

Dear IIMCians,

Fourth meeting of IIMCAA, AP Chapter was held on 14th July, 2013 at HUDA Park, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad. 1) The meeting reviewed the membership drive of the chapter and decided to speed up the drive.

IIMCAA Andhra Pradesh Chapter Meets on 14th July

Dear IIMCians,

AP chapter of IIMCAA is going to meet on 14th July 2013 (Sunday) at 10 AM at HUDA Park (Near Rhythu Bazar), Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.

The Agenda of meeting:
1) Review and acceleration of Membership drive for the chapter.
2) Election of new members to executive body (some of them have left AP).

MoM: Sixth IIMCAA Maharashtra Meeting.

Dear IIMCians,

Sixth meeting of IIMCAA Maharashtra chapter was held at cafe Tea Centre on July 6. Following decisions were taken at the meeting.

1. To start family get together with IIMCians living in Mumbai.

2. IIMCAA Maharashtra supports the idea of National Council decided by central committee. Maharashtra chapter proposes IIMC Amravati as the venue for the first national council meeting.

3. President Suryakant Mishra has appointed Krishna Pophale as organisation Secretary of IIMCAA Maharashtra on lines with the other chapters of IIMCAA.

4. Chapter decided that president Suryakant Mishra, General Secretary Sourav Mishra and organisation Secretary Krishna Pophale would visit IIMC Amravati in September to interact with new batch. Any IIMCian interested to visit the campus can convey their names to Sourav Mishra latest by Monday 15 July 10 AM.

5. Chapter decided to have some activity in partnership with two institutes in Pune, Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) and National Film Archives of India (NFAI) which are under ministry of I&B later in the year. Exact nature of the activity would be decided in next few days after consultation with central committee and respective institutes.

1. Reporting of Activities: Maharashtra, Bihar & Madhya Pradesh Chapters held their meetings during last one month. Bihar Chapter appointed Mr. Satyavrat Mishra as Organisation Secretary in place of Mr. Avinash Kumar Chanchal. Ms. Teresa Rehman was appointed coordinator for North East Chapter in place of Mr. Rakesh Kumar Das.

2. Membership Drive: To accelerate the membership drive, the Central Committee has decided to visit media houses and corporate offices. Available CC Members will form team. The CC members will visit media houses at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg on Sunday, 21st July at 5:00 PM

3. Bihar Chapter's Suggestions: 

A The Bihar Chapter has raised the issue of VOTING RIGHTS to state level office bearers.

The Central Committee is of the view and has already made it clear that any or all elections for CC and Chapters/ Sub Chapters are open for voting, if required. CC promotes consensus based elections but at the same time not against the elections. CC, Chapters and Sub Chapters will complete its term in October, 2014. To elect new team there will be a system of online voting by then to equip all members to elect office bearers directly. An alumni just need to get membership to vote or contest elections.

To involve Chapters & Sub Chapters in decision making process, it was decided to form a National Council. Consultation with Chapters/ Sub Chapters are still on over the National Council. Once National Council comes into existence, major policy decision will be taken only by National Council which will meet annually. CC will take care of the organisation & activities on routine basis. To become a member of National Council, an alumni need to become office bearer of CC or Chapter or Sub Chapters. Chapters/ Sub Chapters have 4 seats in National Council as proposed (President, General Secretary, Treasurer & 4th has to be nominated by meeting of chapter/ sub chapter).

B  Bihar Chapter suggested to donate stuffs to Uttarakhand Victims.

IIMCAA will speak to Goonj, a NGO run by IIMCian Mr. Anshu Gupta, for donating money/ clothes/ quilts or utensils to Uttarakhand victims. General Secretary Mr. Animesh Biswas will discuss the procedures of donating the above mentioned stuff with Mr. Gupta. The IIMCAA has also received requests from few IIMCians, who want to go to Uttarakhand to help the local residents. IIMCAA will discuss this matter with Goonj and find out possibilities to send volunteers.

4. Competition for New Batch: A common competition among all department/ campus will be launched in September. Mr. Harshendra VerdhanMr. Gaurav Dikshit & Mr. Madhur will explore the sponsorship opportunities. Mr. Abhinav Garg will explore the print partnerships. 

5. IIMCAA T-Shirt & Kurtis: The Central Committee has finalised the designs of IIMCAA T-shirt and Kurtis. The IIMCAA T-shirt will be available in Blue, White and Black colours (Male- logo on front | Female- logo on left sleeve) at a price of Rs. 500/- only. Ladies' kurtis (logo on left sleeve) will be available in white colour only at a price of Rs. 500/-. Courier charges are not included and anyone expecting it to delivered at their home need to courier charges while booking the T-shirt or Kurti. IMP: Maharashtra Chapter Meets on July 6 in Mumbai

Dear IIMCians,

6th meeting of IIMCAA, Maharashtra chapter will took place at 5:30 PM on July 6 at Cafe Tea House, Mumbai (Next to Church Gate station).

We propose to conduct the following business during the meeting:

1. Discuss and accelerate membership drive. Each participating member will suggest at least another IIMCIan living in Mumbai for membership drive. 
2. Plan to visit Amravati campus at the beginning of the course.
3. To plan offsite at Amravati campus for members from Mumbai, Pune and other adjoining cities in Maharashtra.
4. To conduct open house for innovation in the field of communication and progress of our association.

IMP: Pune Sub Chapter Meets on July 6

Dear IIMCians,

As discussed, we have decided to have our fourth Alumni meeting on July 6th, 2013, Saturday at Chinese Room, MG road, Pune (next to George Restaurant on East Street) over dinner. We can all meet up around 8 PM. The dinner expenses will be shared all together. 

The agenda of the meeting will be primarily to continue with the membership drive. Ms. Sukeerti Sharma, who is presently studying in FTII has some brilliant course of action plan for the IIMC Pune Alumni. She will discuss it with us and together we will see how best we can work as an association. Along with that the blog publishing work will start off.  

I would also request you to come along with your spouses or partners to attend the meet, so that the big IIMC family can work together for progress.
