1. Web Content Manager
This will be an individual with good writing skills and a flair for design and a good understanding of web based communication who will work with a senior researcher to:
− Continuously review and update the website
− Develop a template for NCAER branded daughter-sites, invitations for NCAER events, newsletters etc.
− Contract with graphics/web designers to ensure simplicity and attractiveness of our web products
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in journalism and English.
* 2-3 years experience in working with web related communications, content for websites or managing websites.
* Very good written communication skills.
2. External Relations Manager
This will be someone with extensive experience in organizing public affairs events and organizing interface with the print and electronic media. The tasks include organisation of
− publicity for NCAER's public affairs programs or events
− avenues for greater visibility for the work of the Council
− training of research staff to maximize the effectiveness of their dissemination activities
Qualifications & Experience:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Degree in journalism.
* 4-5 years' experience in working in the print or electronic media.
* Experience in managing external relations in the knowledge sector.
3. Communications Manager
This will be someone with background in social sciences and excellent English writing experience who will:
− Write policy briefs and interact with researchers to get content
− Manage the editing, formatting and printing process for NCAER's research reports, proposals and all other written output.
− Develop and manage the research proposal writing process by interfacing with senior staff, finance and management
Qualifications & Experience:
* Post graduate degree in Economics.
* 3-4 experience in publishing industry
* Excellent English language skills, evidence of writing experience, ability to work in teams.
In all the three cases, the appointment will be for one year.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience. Appointment will be based on interview, references and tests where necessary.
