The International Business Times is looking for several talented writers / journalists / correspondents and editors to cover economic, finance and business news from its real-time newsroom in Bangalore.

Positions are open at both junior reporter and at experienced editor level.

Job location: Bangalore

Designation offered: Senior / junior business writers

Brief job profile:

* The successful candidates are expected to cover US and global economic, financial markets, companies and
business news.

* Produce real-time news by writing accurate news stories with speed and independence. The candidate must be
able to work with great speed in breaking the news.

* Produce news reports and articles based on company announcements, analysts' reports from brokerages and
banks and sourcing news through research, electronic releases and other mediums.

* Work in collaboration with editors and reporters from New York and London bureaus.

* Work in a team environment and have the ability to learn quickly through self study, research and discussions
with colleagues.

* The role involves working in evening and night shifts.

* There will be plenty of opportunities to work and develop yourself in a global newsroom environment and work
in an international environment.

Qualification:

* Applicants are expected to have a minimum of one year experience in the field of business / financial journalism
and writing.

* Candidates working for financial firms such as stock brokerages, financial analysis and research will also be
considered for this post.

* Experience in US equities and companies news coverage will be a major bonus.

Experience:

* Relevant educational degree or experience in stock markets, finance and economics.

* Have degree or experience in journalism / writing.

* Be comfortable in dealing with numbers to report corporate earnings, the rise and fall of markets etc.

* Have excellent command over the English language – ability to write with speed and accuracy and with good
grammar, punctuations and spelling.
