SAGE is an international publisher of books and journals in Social Sciences and STM. As part of its global strategy, SAGE US and UK are looking for Journal Production Editors, who will be an extended team of SAGE's US and UK Journal Production Departments based in the India Office.
Job profile: A production editor will maintain positive work relationships with editors and contributing authors, be expected to quality check the work of freelancers/vendors, for both editorial content and style, and will ensure that SAGE's high editorial standards are maintained, all within the stipulated timeframe. He/she will report to the PE Supervisor in SAGE India.
Candidate profile: The ideal candidate would be well-read, self motivated, deadline driven, computer savvy and adept at multitasking.
He/she must have outstanding communication (both oral and written) and editing skills.
Postgraduates/graduates with 2-3 years of experience in the journal or book publishing industry will be preferred.
