Sourav Mishra, a Reuters reporter, was with friends at the Cafe Leopold (in South Mumbai) when gunmen opened fire around 9:30 p.m. He has received injuries and is in St. George's Hospital.
"I heard some gunshots around 9:30. I was with my friends. Something hit me. I ran away and fell on the road. Then somebody picked me up. I have injuries below my shoulder," Mishra said from a hospital bed he was sharing with three other people. (Source: Reuters News)
UPDATE: Sourav is from the 2002-03 English Journalism batch of IIMC, Dhenkanal. I spoke to him this morning. The doctors have removed the bullet and he is out of danger. Friends are with him and they are thinking of shifting him to another hospital in Navi Mumbai.
He is rechable over phone, but let's not bother him at this moment. Anyone concerned about his condition can call Abhishek Shanker (09920318300) or me (09818786430) for updates. I am based in Delhi, but in regular touch with our friends attending him. Let's pray for his speedy recovery.
