MoM - Delhi Connections on Feb 27th | IIMCAA Awards Entry Opens Dec 1st | New President & General Secretary in Odisha

The Central Committee met at IIMC HQ, New Delhi on 1st November. Executive President Ms. Gayatri Srivastava presided over the meeting, which was attended by Executive President Mr. Prabhash Jha, Vice President Mr. Animesh Biswas, General Secretary Mr. Atul Gupta, Secretary Mr. Dadan Vishwakarma, Executive Members Mr. Prabhat Pandey, Mr. Komal Badodekar, Mr. Shankar Pandit, Ms. Tanima Ray, and Ms. Suparna Shree. IIMC President Mr. Sushil Singh joined the discussion by phone, while former President Mr. Kalyan Ranjan, Mr. Ritesh Verma, Mr. Pratham Dwivedi, Mr. Afzal Alam and Mr. Soyeb Akthar Molla attended physically.

The Committee discussed various agenda items and decided the following:

1. Connections 2.0 Dharamshala Review: The Central Committee reviewed the 2nd Annual Off-Site Meet in Dharamshala and noted the feedback for improvements.

2. Connections 2027 Preparations: The Central Committee decided to host the Global Annual Alumni Meet - Connections 2027 in Delhi on Saturday, February 27th. A suitable venue will be finalised in the coming days and communicated in due course. Delhi Meet will remain an invite only event.

3. IIMCAA Awards 2027 Preparations: The Central Committee decided to organise the IIMCAA Awards 2027 according to previously finalised timelines. Entries will open on December 1st and close on December 20th inviting works done between January 1st and November 30th, 2026.

4. Functioning of the Odisha Chapter: The Central Committee discussed the functioning of the Odisha Chapter and various options available to improve the activities. It decided to relieve President Mr. Sandeep Sethi and General Secretary Mr. Dattatreaya Nayak from their responsibilities, exercising the Central Committee powers under clause 10.6.9 of the IIMCAA Constitution. The Central Committee thanks them for their contributions during their tenure.

Incumbent Senior-most Vice President Ms. Sangita Agarwal will be the new President and Executive Member Ms. Sharmistha Panigrahi will be the new General Secretary of the Odisha Chapter. All other office bearers will continue in their current roles. The Central Committee wishes Team Odisha all the best under a new leadership.
